tour of london

Today marks our first full day in London!!!  It felt great to see the city well rested and ready for anything.  Everyone fell asleep so early last night after being await for almost two days straight.  Our apartment is small and pretty outdated but cute- we’re already trying to spruce it up a bit (with the cheapest flowers we can find).  It’s a great location and I just like having a place that feels like our own.  A lot of other Fordham people live in the building too so it’s nice to know people right next door.

First today was orientation.  It was held at Fordham’s Heathrop College”campus”; basically a few buildings surrounding a small courtyard.  It’s only a 20-ish minute, really pretty walk from the flat.  After going over safety and housing regulations with super sweet British people, we were let go for lunch (see pictures in “food”).

After lunch the real adventure of the day began.  All the Fordham students met at the “Embarkment” Underground stop and headed out for a cruise/ tour on the Thames!  It was the most perfect day and we were able to see so much of London in the few hours on the boat.  The city is so beautiful and I’m already falling in love with it!  After the boat tour, we went to a for-yo place called Snog where the waiter looked at us like we were crazy when we asked if they stayed open for fall.  We were super confused until he asked us in his adorable accent “what is Fall?”.  Everyone here is really nice so far and it’s definitely less hectic and rushed than NYC.  Loving it so far and can’t wait to see even more!

xoxo
